Thoughts of camp will be inescapable in the last mile of your journey as your eyes find the numerous trails originating from the 28,000+ acres of adjacent public that cross this deeded access. Your camp, located off the snowmobile trail, sleeps ten with two separate insulated and heated quarters. Each features essentials for cooking, cleaning, and staying organized. The 53’x10.5’ space sleeps six, features gas heat, model 24 Teho wood stove, ceiling fans, wash sink, oven, and shower. The 12’x30’ Amish cabin features R19 insulation, gas heat, wiring, lighting, and ceiling fans. An insulated, heated, and ventilated privy with a 500-gallon holding tank rounds out camp.
From camp trails head south through hardwood forests comprised of maple and oak before turning west to the large food plot. Here lanes radiate and have been widened to provide bountiful opportunity and space for further plots. Nestled in a stand of aspen this location has a history of daylight activity is prime for continued timber stand improvements.
To the south lies a large natural meadow on the property boundary. En-route aspen gives way to northern hardwoods and you’ll pass the slightest elevation change. This excellent travel corridor is where ash, alder, and a a thick understory of grasses dominate. Excellent habitat for bear, grouse, and woodcock coupled with the meandering stream makes it exceptional bedding for deer too. The trails continue beyond the meadow providing access to the vast tracts of public lands; however, with the flowage on the easterly side funneling deer movement, the perfect location for a food plot and for bucks to leave markings. You may never venture further.
